This is the 4th book in this wonderful series “Of Gold & Blood.” Tangled Destiny is tied to the 1st book in this series. These two books — I found out you can read them out of order! Tangled Destiny, then Poisoned Legacy… that’s what I would have done if I had known. This is about when they were young and starting out in life, wanting to marry, but the Travers aren’t good enough to marry a Mountfort. Jenny Wheeler never disappoints in her writing and storytelling. The events feel real, the characters are alive, and you’re right there with these two families, through the happy and the sad times. Will some events break them apart? Will they end up marrying each other — or someone else? Emotions run high throughout this story, and Jenny has you feeling them all. What will the fathers do? Excellent series… you’ll love it, no matter which way you read book one and four.
